A little chard anyone ? ( not a question)
I wanted to put this in 'pictures' but couldn't find my password.
My daughter likes chard, but no-one else in the family does. I wonder if she should set some more as she'd hate to run out of it.

I'd never heard of the green stuff, let alone others. Thanks C., I'll get her some seeds whilst I'm here. ( just so long as she doesn't make me eat it too.) Yuk.

hi hank , re swiss chard you should try it , if god only left 1 veg on earth i chose it, cook the leave and the stalks separate and then fry the butter or marge (magic) its a very very hardy plant and very easy to grow. i once read it likes a little salt in the water when growing. this is very unusual. eamonn

for got to say if you have to much, keep pulling the outside leaves ,it will keep the plant young and cook and freeze it, i do .

Thanks E,I'll get my daughter to cook some as you say and I'll try it again. She keeps saying how good it is for you - and she puts it in smoothies and drinks them with great relish.

I adore chard. Have you tried the red or golden stalk types - pretty and tasty at the same time?
