That looks like something I could put on my rose arch Bamboo. Is it truly frost hardy? And will it mind not being in full sun - that part of the garden loses the sun by around noon each day in summer. I wouldn't call it completely shady though either......
I wasn't sure from the last part of your sentence whether you meant it should or should not be in shade :-/

I meant as long as its not in shade, Cestina - Trachleospermum likes sun, but doesn't need to be in full blast of it all day, so I should think a morning in sun would be fine. They are reasonably hardy, but do need a reasonably sheltered spot

More info required here - has the arch got roses on it already? If so, don't plant an evergreen permanent climber with them. If not, Trachleospermum jasminoides would be a good subject, IF the rose arch isn't in the full blast of a northerly gale and in shade.
