It is NOT a Canna. Proof of that will be the leaves - they should be swordlike and narrow. Not to mention that Cannas never have beards...

Very good Tugbrethil. It does have the same shape as a heraldic Fleur de lis. It appears that the yellow flag Iris (Iris pseudacorus) is the main candidate for this form though of course this Iris as Bamboo said belongs to the bearded group.

Some of the heirloom bearded Iris have that shape, but tracking down the variety is going to take more of an expert than I am. Always assuming it isn't an unnamed seedling.

Well its an Iris ,and its bearded, probably one of the intermediate bearded group, not sure of the variety name though.
