Hi jst a little ask .... do compost bins need a base of sorts?... ive bought two of the wooded slatted type with liners and nothing else, i cannot imagine emptying waste into something with no bottom or maybe its jst me ... many thanks. p

Answers

Compost bins sit on bare earth so that the green waste is in contact with the ground. This allows any liquid arising from the waste to drain away and to allow worms from the soil to access the bin.
