Nothing will give you lots of colour year round, Patty24, but there is an evergreen climber you could try which has fragrant white flowers in summer - Trachleospermum jasminoides, but only if your garden isn't overly exposed to north easterly winds, or at least, where your arch is isn't that exposed.
