I have an Iris pallida aurea variegata, bought and plant according to instructions 3 weeks ago. It has flowered and was stunning then the leaves suddenly collapsed. It has been watered during the recent hot spell and on the day it collasped it was quite windy although it is in a fairly sheltered spot. Will the leaves recover upright or is this fatal?

Have to be some wind to cause the collapse of the foliage - inspect the leaves carefully for signs of infestation or disease - if it doesn't recover, and you've found nothing, dig up and inspect the rhizome for signs of trouble there.
