Hi all,
My sweet peas are more than ready for the ground, question is when can I put them in? What' s the opinion of you guys?

Hi Kenny thanks for your comment. No my swtteetpeas are not for showing I'm just an over keen amateur!! We're in the NW so not as tropical as the east coast! Will probably harden them off over the next week and plant early May and keep my fingers crossed!

I put mine out 2wks ago and they are fine, I did harden them off for a week before putting them in the ground I'm on the Lincs/Rutland border....Its been a mild year so just have to be guided by whats already out in the garden....

mine went in middle of march.
If grown properly, no need to harden them off, they'll have been well hardened all winter anyway.

Thanks all, feel much more confident that sweetpeas will be hunky dory when I put them, out prob next week.

hi i put mine in at the weekend.some in the ground and some in pots.we are near the east coast though.maybe a little early.i did have some in the ground over the winter seeds from last years plants they came through alright.the choice is yours.others might tell you different.are they for showing.or what.good luck.
