I think that maybe you're getting a bit confused and probably mean something else. to Flag a message means to report it as being offensive or not nice. If you look at the top, below your original question you will see a button under the date that says Flag this question. Please click on it and you will see what I mean. Don't go any further though unless you really do want to report something.

Hello, to "flag" is to bring it to the attention of admin as it may contain inappropriate material, if you are seeing "flag" at the bottom of someone's comments then it is the same for that, so if you find the comment inappropriate then you can "flag" it. It will appear at the bottom of this comment too. So they haven't flagged the blog and there is nothing you should do unless you find any content rude or inappropriate. Hope this helps

Its often used for the many blogs put on by advertisers. These are usually flagged early in the day and have disappeared by the time later users come on the site so you will probably never have seen them.

I used to do quite a lot of flagging myself , for example, when I was dragged out shopping by you know who. Now I wish I hadn't whinged quite so much.

I used to do a lot of flagging Hank but it's getting hard on the old knees now ;o)

Myron,
The sort of flagging I was referring to was "hanging back" or "coming to a halt" due to being fed up. But back to your definition - some years I laid two parallel rows of of 3ft x 2 ft concrete flags ( paving slabs) along my 40 ft drive. I can neither kneel nor lift them now, let alone lay them.

I understood what you meant Hank, lagging behind. I think it's a Lancashire expression, but might be wrong.

This reminds me of a conversation I had when I was out with an Asian friend and his wife and she was walking ahead. I said to him jokingly, I thought that the women in India walked behind their men. He said, you're right Myron, they used to do and the reason for that is that the tigers creep up behind you and it's the women that they get first. When I asked him when this practice had changed, he told me since they got land mines in India ;o)

How depressing...

Nice one Myron, I've heard it before but it's a good tale. And come on Sue Luv, it's funny, not depressing- or are our tastes different after all ?
