Can you please tell me where do the pears on my tree come from ? do they come from the middle of the flower, as i had loads of blossom this year after 3 baron years but now the whole flower and stem s are falling off it is a gourmande pear, i should have stuck with a conference

The pears do come from the flowers but only if they have been pollenated. As this is one of the self fertile pears I can only think you have not had any pollenating insects around.

Or you may have had a frost at the crucial time - less likely this year but you don't say where you live.

i live in Suffolk right on the coast, we have not had any frost which have been to hard as yet , the tree looks healthy plenty of flowers fruit trees in all other gardens have given it potash for fruit instead of chicken muck as i was told to leave out on here last year, do the pears swell up from below the blossom bud, i do not have much luck with fruit trees my victoria plum buds have not started to open yet so frustrating my dad has a plum beauty tree and it is covered with fruit

Do you have bees, wasps and hover flies around the tree? If not no matter how many flowers there are they won't get pollenated… If you are right on the coast it may just be too windy for them.
