I've grown apple cues in a greenhouse and apart from their shape they didn't taste any different from the long type. I think its nice to grow something different.

Yes. I've got a really healthy Pomegranate plant I actually grew from a seed ( after 1 I had eaten ) I put it in the greenhouse over Winter then on Patio the rest of the time . No fruit though , but interesting watching it growing .( Ive got pic on my sight of it )

I think you could be in for a disappointment with the pomegranate because of our cool climate. My sister grew one in the garden for years but it eventually succumbed to the cold.

Just looked at your pomegranate plant Pammie. It's a very nice plant even if it never produces fruit & I guess it makes a talking point when showing folk round your garden.
