Hi everyone....Ive planted a pear tree and would like to grow something at the base...preferably a perrenial, any suggestions :)

I would be wary planting anything substantial near it, you want the roots of the pear tree to have all the water and nutrients possible so you get lots of juicy pears.

Hi, wildlifebalcony, it's biennials that last only last 2 years, perennials return year after year, some for 50 years or more, and Cookygirl has alreasy planted a pear tree, Derek.

great more organic fruits for you!ut just remeber that perrenials will last only 2 years and must be replaced,you could get a pear tree that lasts year after year instead(much easier to deal with)
