I recently used a landscape gardener to grind out two large oak tree stumps and level/turf a former kids play area in my back garden. The new turf is rather yellow, when I lifted a piece it would appear that the wood chips from the stump grinding have been used to level the area and the turf laid directly on top. Will the turf eventually recover as the grindings compost and, if so, how long is this likely to take? Would also appreciate thoughts/comments in general. Many thanks.

I would also complain to the Landscape Gardener :o(
sound like he or she didn't know what they were doing? think it is their job to put it right. :<)

Agree with Ladye. get the gardener back to sort out the problem, the chip pings should never have been used in the first place.

I agree with the others, probably thought you would never lift them and find out , and saved himself some ££ in the process of not having to buy topsoil.

Agree with others above.
Your 'gardener' lifted the carpet and swept the dust underneath... Poor housekeeping.
Get him back in to put it right.

How do I say thanks?
