I think I was given this plant with some others and understood it was tall!!!......It sits happily at the back of an herbaceous border. It's far too pretty to stay there of course. It's only about 6" tall and a very pale lilac colour....but what IS it please?

I'd say it was Veronica gentianoides possible Tissington white. I have Tissington White in flower at the moment, the spike is about 12-18" tall though the foliage stays close to the ground. its a good plant.

Thanks both.......yes looking again it is more than 6" Seaburn,and yes Veronica sounds right,my friend did say that, I just didn't think they were like that, cant remember ever having seen one before,I think it's lovely.Are there any other colours?

lilacs and blues, lost the blue I had years ago. there are several named varieties too.

I think it is a Veronica, possibly Veronica gentianoides?
