Several years ago I was misguided enough to buy some bamboo to form a screen. About three years ago we cut them down because they started spreading into the lawn. Alas, the damn things are still shooting up all over the lawn. Constant mowing keeps them down, but is there any way I can selectively poison them i.e. without killing the grass ? Desperate of Merseyside !

The only way I know of is to dig the whole lot out, root and all and relay your lawn.

Unfortunately not, as Bamboos are grasses as well. There is no easy answer that I know of, except to kill the whole lot (in that area)
