does draba longisliqua always die back after flowering and then come back as green as ever in early spring

Hi, welcome to GoY, I have never grown this, as I'm not a lover of grasses, but it is suppose to be an evergreen perennial, so I wouldn't have thought it would die back after flowering, Derek.

I thought draba was a little alpine plant. if it is then I've never managed to keep it from one year to the next.
