I transplanted a young laburnum tree two years ago, there are no leaves or buds but the main wood is green under the bark. Is there still a chance it may pick up.

If its been transplanted it may be worth waitinng to see if it settles down'
When I first planted mine it did not do well and the nursery I bought it from told me to remove some soil around it and replace with several inches of ericaceous compost I did this and repeated it twice a year for a couple of years and now have a lovely tree. Its worth a try.

Sounds unlikely but don't dig it up yet as you never know your luck.
