my kilmarnock weeping willow has white almost silk like blobs with a black head as it were on quite a few branches any idea if this is supposed t o happen. It is approx 3 years old and otherwise healthy looking

Yes it appears to be muscle scale although not as bad as the picture on the question you advised me to look at
Will get this sorted in the next day or so as it is quite wet here.
