I am trying to identify a plant. I do not have a photo. It is flowering now and seems to grow out of walls quite happily. We see it in hedges as we drive around but also in cultivated gardens. The stem can be about 15 inches long or more and has clusters of pink/red/purplish flowers all down the stem. Lots of green leaves before the flowers emerge. Some people say it's a nuisance. I like it and want to know its name please.

You could also try Linaria (toadflax).

Or if it's trailing, maybe ivy leaved toadflax, or even aubretia.

The flowers are pink so it has to be valerian.

Hi I think it has a couple of common names but if you look for Centranthus or Valerian that should sort you out
great for dry stone walls , I think it looks great and comes in different forms of red and white depending where you buy from I agree with you looks really good in the right spot
