Can I grow Sanbucus black lace in a large container?

you can grow anything in a tub . bigger the better and or keep it cut back and water well as sb sais as the tap roots cant do there job . I like to cut the bottoms out so it just seams there in pots .

I wouldn't bother, it will quickly become a beast. I have two in my garden and they are ten foot high. It will become pot-bound and not grow to its full potential. Also being deciduous, it will be bare sticks in a pot for about four months of the year with little interest.

They do stand cutting back hard though - we keep ours to about five foot something. But then it bushes out a lot so really you would need a pretty big tub.
