Morning all...if got a holly tree growing in a pot its OK growing well I would like to take it out and plant it in ground if I can get it out its really hard in there solid ..will itj be OK to do I don't want to kill it my dad put it there and it in memory of my father ..its quite big now ..thankyou x

Do as Myron advises and I would suggest soaking the rootball in a large container of water, even for a day or two, before planting. 'Teasing' the roots out may be an understatement if they are solidly pot bound. You may have to be quite vicious with them!

If it's so root bound I would remove it from the pot, you might have to break or cut the pot open to get it out. Tease the root ball out before you plant it and give it a good watering once it's in the ground.
