I just planted a Honeycrisp apple tree sapling and it was growing wonderfully. Yesterday I noticed that the lower leaves had been stripped off by something, perhaps a critter? The higher leaves seem to be unaffected. What could be eating the leaves and how could I deter them from continuing?
