dads just given me some dahlia bulbs,so ive put them in and since theres no instructions do you think ive put them in too late for this year,ones called playa blanca(white) and park princess(pink)

No, they won't survive without growing this season. They will have to be planted. I would put them into pots that are just a little larger than the tubers and use a multi purpose compost. Water them well and allow to dry off slightly between watering. You will hopefully see some growth in due course.
I'm sure you will more advice in due course and next year, you can but new tubers in late February/ early March to start off then indoors.

last year i left my tubers in the ground some are coming some not the ones that are .are about 6 in tall but look ok. put them in and hope for the best.

Yes, they are very late. They tubers may even be shrivelled too much by now. Many people start them off in a greenhouse to get them into growth for taking cuttings. You will just have to wait and see what happens. Good luck.
