l have solanum blue, which l have found to be hardier than album any advice on album as planted together.

thank you for you reply. the white one is planted on a south facing fence. the blue did not loose its leaces in the very cold winter. the white one did, but was slow to pickup in the spring, as it was when first planted. any more advice will be useful.

The blue one I'm guessing is Solanum crispum as a posed to the white one Solanum jasminoides. The first has thicker stems that don't really twine whereas the second has slimmer stems that distinctly twine around twiggy supports etc.
S. jasminoides is certainly less hardy than the other species and perhaps would be better planted in a sunny sheltered spot agains suitable shrub or support on a warm wall.
