well they look like a bulb of some sort but not sure. did you plant any eucomis pineapple lilies? they are a little reminescent of them.

Not that I remember! I tried just one last year (in another part of the garden) to see how it would do & it didn't thrive at all so I'm sure I wouldn't have bought more. I guess I'll have to watch and wait.

I think these are Allium karataviense, at least they look identical to the ones we have at work.
