I have 7 large stalks shooting out above my green new Zealand flax, they have pods of seeds on them . can I cut these stalks off.

Hi, welcome to GoY, the large stalks are the flower stems, they won't be sees yet it's too early, the seeds will come later, after the flowers, they can get up to 10ft high and look majestic, you're also very lucky to get7 of them, there are usually less than that, you can cut them off after they've flowered if you wish, or you can collect the seed to propagate them, Derek.
