You're right Bloomer. They all go like this when left. Mine are in neat round clumps & I chop them back as soon as they get taller than I want.

Hi, welcome to GoY, this used to be called Cineraria maritima, but is now Senecio cineraria, and silver dust is a variety of it, it's frost hardy, and would probably survive a mild winter, but is more usually grown as an annual, Derek.

Cheers Derek..I blame it on having to type with one hand..as the other is encased in a plaster cast..That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it ! :o) Roll o Monday when I will be having it removed...no excuses then !:o)

Thank you Derek,I'm sure it will..I have still managed to do some gardening,so that's a bonus..

Cineraria, possibly 'Silver Dust'.It's a good foliage plant, but usually,it is better to remove the flowers..It will withstand a good pruning, and often survives the winter, depending on the severity..Looks good in pots, with Summer bedding..If it were mine,I would trim all that straggly growth off..
