Help, I have a Mexican Orange Blossom which was beautiful but getting too big. I asked a gardener to give it a hair cut, because I'm in a wheelchair. He cut it right down, I could cry?.
How long will it take to grow again?

He doesn't seem to know what he is doing, I'd find a new gardener.

I know, I'm devastated. It was in a great condition beautiful shiny leaves....
Can I feed it or will I wait?

There's a shorter growing season where you live, and I wouldn't recommend your feeding it now, unless its just a single shot of something soluble, such as Miracle Gro general purpose. Using a granular fertiliser such as Growmore or similar will just promote lots of sappy new growth which won't have time to harden off before winter.

I use a lot of Miracle Gro, and have been successful, including the dried composmost, it's a lot easier to carry when you're in a wheelchair. I like the stuff you measure in cap and use.
Thanks for advice

My Choisyia was cut back to the ground about six years ago, about this time after flowering. The following year it grew enough to flower again and it is now so massive that I need to cut it right back again. This time I will not cut it to the ground but that's mainly because of the hard work involved in doing so. I'm sure yours will grow back quickly too, even though you are much further north.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear what's happened. I hesitate to say that it will take 2-3 years before its a good size again, and it is a bit of a disaster that he's cut it down now as opposed to May or early June - fingers crossed you don't get an early winter up there. They're pretty hardy otherwise, and there's nothing you can do but wait - it has a good root system so it should grow faster than a new one. Give it a good feed next year, in spring as growth begins Thank heavens he wasn't cutting your hair, you'd have a No. 2 crew cut by now if he was...;-)
