Thank you very much for your responses and welcome,

I am thinking about the plastic coated mesh.

I would need to put this in front or slightly below the conifers as I don't want the dog to get to the back of them.

I just don't want it to look horrible.

I have also been searching sites to see if I can find a picture with a fence below conifers but cannot find one anywhere.

Thanks again for your comments and welcome

your more than welcome mate.you could always maybe grow some nice climbers up the mesh once its in place .you would totaly lose it then.the other option would be to almost make the conifers look like there next door and get a propper fence there. reverse psycolagy if you like .

I don't know if anyone suggested this already but you can get rolls of thin bamboo or reed fencing in different lengths which looks attractive - you would need to put posts into the ground at intervals to attach it to, but it comes in different heights and you can buy it at garden centres or online.

If you copy and paste this into your browser you will see a picture ( hopefully!)
