Last autumn I moved house and my new small garden is full of practical fruit and herbs. There is a tree which I think is an almond (definitely some sort of Prunus) and the leaves are producing blisters from beige to scarlet in colour, curling up and falling off in quantity. The fruits seem healthy and are growing well.My cherry trees are unaffected. Any idea what this might be and how to treat it - organically if poss.

The description of Peach Leaf Curl is "Thickend Pinkish Blisters on the leaves"
this can affect Almond also (Any stoned fruit tree). The tree can become completely defoliated and is spread by water. This can be treated with Lime Sulphur sprayed on the swollen leaf buds in spring. Not sure if this fits your description SF but hope it helps.

thanks Dido, really helpful. I've looked up "peach leaf curl" and pictures do seem to match what's happening on my tree. Looks like I've got some work to do removing all the diseased leaves.
