Good Morning Plant Lovers. I have bought myself some French lavender plants and would like to know how much space to leave between each plant. They are small at the moment and I want to plant them in they final positions rather than disturb them at a later stage, Thank you
Kind Regards

Hi, the height and spread of french lavender, Lavandula stoechas, is about 24 inches, so I think you should plant them 18 inches apart minimum, they will very soon knit together, and a spacing of 6 inches would not allow them to develop properly, Derek.

Meadowland has a lovely lavender hedge - you could send her PM and ask what distances she used.

Previous question
Hiya- french neighbours have planted their lavendar about 6 inches arart and now it is a super hedge- i suppose if you want ti to stay in individual clumps aboput 9 inches apart would be okay- when you walk past the hedge the smell is lovely
