I've grown some potatoes in deep buckets for this year, first early Rocket and today I emptied a bucket and have managed to get a couple of pounds of potatoes. Only trouble is although they look okay some of them are covered in white spots on the skin and I'm just wondering if they are okay to eat. Anyone else had this problem, thanks in anticipation.

I wouldn't worry at all about a few blemishes on the skin. As long as they haven't turned green they should be perfectly edible. The spotting is probably the result of something in the compost. I'm impressed that you have cropped these so early, still waiting for ours!

How do I say thanks?
