I have a willow (don't know what sort)which has twisted branches attractive in winter, It has grown to about 12 feet in around 10-12 years - how do I stop it growing any higher>

Hi Kev 65, welcome to GoY. Its best to prune back the tree to a managable height in Spring before the leaves open. Pruning back now can cause the tree to bleed heavily.

good thinking tongue yes just take it back in spring every year
you can do this quite heavily with a willow but as tongue sais best in early spring
