Hello again,
I was wondering what the name of this plant is, it belongs to my sister-in-law and I would also like to know if I can take cuttings off it to grow in my back garden?
When would be the best time to do this, and once established what kind of soil does it benefit from?
Thanks.

Tree mallow, Lavatera, probably x clementii. Take fresh shoots from low down in early summer. This shrub should be hard pruned in Feb, probably later than that where you are. I think you can take root cuttings as well. They are often short lived shrubs.
