I have a Yucca filamentosa variegata. I have about 8 side shoots coming up from the ground that are growing very rapidly. How and where do I cut them so that I can transfer some of them into pots ?

Dig around and see if any of them have their own roots attached - they should do and you can sever their connection to the parent plant, retaining their own roots, and pot them up individually in a light, sandy mix. Best kept in a cold frame over winter.
