Growing allium from seed - is it worth it?
I've just cut the dried heads off my Gladiator Alliums (they were getting bashed about as I move things about the yard).
I've saved what seeds hadn't already dispersed and I'm wondering if anyone has bothered to grow these from seed rather than bulb. I've popped them in a bag in the fridge for now.

Put Alliums from seed into the Search on here and there is a good thread on this subject.

Depends whether you are prepared to wait 3 - 5 years for them to become flowering size bulbs really.

Hi, I started to grow some Allium chrisrophii from seed, then decided life is too short :-), Derek.

Thanks all, that's pretty much what I thought! I may just scatter them and let nature take its course.

How do I say thanks?
