Bush Champion cucumber plant bought from ALDI uk.
Hi this is the first time I've grown cucumbers so please be gentle with me.
I watched several videos and was unable to disinguish the male and female flowers. Then a neighbour told me that they are all female.
Was he right, or have I messed up my first attempt.
Thanks in anticipation.

If your plant has the male flowers as well as the female its recommended that you remove the male flower as they do say it can make the cucumbers taste slightly bitter, its a painstaking task so I do hope yours is an all female plant...
Hoping you are successful .....

Thanks for the information, I tried really hard but all the flowers looked the same to me. Its to late I guess to worry about it this year. And I will probably go for a definite all female variety next year.
Fingers crossed for this first attempt. The ALDI label just describes the planting and harvesting and made no mention of the male flower removal. I'm hoping that these are an all female variety.
Has anyone else grown these cucumbers from ALDI uk?

the female flower has a small 1cm long ovary [looks like a tiny cucumber] and the male doesn't. Some cucumber plants are all female flowers so your neighbour is sort of right.
