i have a ring of mushrooms 6ft dia on my lawn
i call it my fairy ring. when it first started it was only 2ft dia now it is much bigger. ? why do they appear on grass areas

I think they grow outwards in a cirlcle as it the underground mycelium spreads out to find food. Subsequent generations of fungi grow only outwards, because the parent generations have depleted their local nitrogen levels. Why the appear in grass, im not sure
