I agree Amblealice - yet the happiest one in our garden is growing on a raised bed at the front of the house and regularly gets water on its crown!

LOL, aren't plants just 'so' contrary !
I have numerous plants which will 'not' read the guidelines ;-)
My Lewisia is in a dry stone wall and it too gets more water than it probably should on its crown.
This is the first year, after almost 4, that's it's really done well ..... i think the cold winter could have helped it.

They don't like moisture at the crown of the plant.....best grown in a wall or a pot on its side.....
