I have grown this plant from a seed and on the packet read chilli plant. From the same packet I put more of the seeds in another pot which have grown into what is definitely a chilli plant, but looks nothing like this one? Does anybody know what plant this is please?

As Owdboggy says Bistorts, Persicaria "Redshank"
Latin Name: Persicaria macula.
Commonly known as Persicaria, redleg and lady's-thumb.
Loves soils that are moist and rich.
The dark spots on the leaves are an aid to identification.
Used to fight diarrhoea and infections.
Seeds are dormant for at least 60 days after shedding - seeds produced in summer usually germinate the next spring.
Leaves may be eaten as a vegetable.

Ah the one that has "finger prints" on each leaf. Very fascinating!

Thank you very much for the information, I cannot believe its a weed ha ha! How odd though that the seeds came from the packet and that's how it grew!

I was wondering if the seed didn't grow & the weed was in the soil you used :o(

I have taken out the weed, which as you saw was quite big and between it at the bottom was the actual chilli plant!!! As you can see I'm clearly not the best gardener....
