I have a strange kind of mould that has developed around the base of my shrub. I'm not entirely sure what shrub it is but the mould looks like bird poo but on closer inspection it is white and fluffy with brown round circles. It is mainly at the base of the plant with a few odd bits dotted around the branches?

Thanks for your swift response. The shrub has seemed to die off since it appeared. I want to try and save it but it does need re-potting. I will take some photos and see what you think. Thanks again.

We will need a photo of the shrub and 'mould' for a member to be able to help as some moulds, cankers, slimes etc. are specific to species.
It might even be lichen which is a good indicator of clean air and won't harm the shrub.
