Can you have a veggie patch on a garden that has a bit of incline, or does the ground have to be completely flat?

I have mine on a slight slope. I built some beds out of old pallets, to keep the soil in them level.

Hi Goosegrass,
If you can cut tiers into your slope then all the better (for you and your plants) but if not then you should have no problems growing on a slope. Google welsh allotments and have a look at how steep some of those are, it's amazing!

My Spanish neighbour has her veggies growing on a south-facing slope and has great success.

If you want any tips or advice on gardening on a slope go to Maderia for a holiday. They have perfected and made living on a slope a way of life.

I have as its the only sunny spot of the garden. There is a drop of about 6 feet over a 30 foot plot. The only problem I have is walking downhill when its wet - it can get a bit slippy as I haven't got any steps. I make sure that the taller items are at the bottom of the plot so that they don't cast shadows on the next row.
