Hello everyone, you helped this year with blossom-end rot and although i will do better next year you have turned my problem around thankyou. Now my problem is my larger tomatoes have rings around them and feel dry and dusty for want of a better word. I am guessing one fault has led to another am i right. I will use the tomatoes by skinning them first.
Thankyou John J T
p.s my list of questions and answers is quite long is it bad manners to delete some of them and how do I do it .

What sort of rings? Do you meant they are splitting across the middle?
Re deleting I'd agree with Urbanite as the answers can be useful to somebody else.

Rings round the middle of your tomatoes sounds like uneven watering to me.

Can't help on the tomato question John as the only ones I eat come in bags from the Leicester market!
On the etiquette of deleting questions, I'd say don't, as things can be brought up by Internet searches to help others in the future - that's probably how 99% of us find GoY.
