What plant would be suitable to cover a 'grass snake' in a primary school, but we would like to choose something other than grass, so that the snake stands out on the hillside. Children would be walking and sitting on the snake. Thank you, Sandy

« This plant grows wild where i walk the dog - anyone know what it is?
Next question
Chamomile will take a certain amount of walking on - in ?tudor or elizabethan times they used to have small areas of chamomile lawn or even a chamomile seat. I believe Buckfast Abbey in Devon is a current example of this sort of use for chamomile.
I suppose it really depends on how many children and how much walking and sitting on - even grass will suffer from excessive wear.
