This is my rhubarb after first year planted. I been told one should not pull in first year to allow leaves to feed plant. Is this correct or can I cut and use?

Don't cut it though, pull it. Don't take more than one stem from each little centre within the clump.

Thanks Timmyh that's what I will do with the one in pic. I have three others same age so it trial and error with me.
