How to get rid of thrips on edibles? I have thrips on my sweet peppers and pak choi. I've only got a few plants so it's not worth getting anything that will cost too much, but are there any ways I can try to control them?

Considering that the problem is on edible vegetables, then I wouldn't use chemical pesticides for obvious reasons. You could use sticky traps to control them or predatory mites that will feed on them.
I have heard that a spray of vegetable oil and water with something added to cause the oil and water to emulsify or mix helps. You could try adding soap in the form of washing-up liquid to achieve this.
