Photinia Red Robin has dull reddish green leaves, except for the new growth, which always comes through bright red - but as the leaves mature, they fade to greenish red. Pruning can encourage more new growth, but should not be done past mid to end July, and if your plant is small, shouldn't be done at all yet.
