Humane method of dispersing moles urgently needed.
Will not consider gassing or poisoning.

When I can find them, right enough.
By the way, unless you are a professional, you cannot use poison and I think gas has been banned altogether.

When I was a young boy I came across a farmer with a bag of what looked like clay marbles. When I asked him what they were for he told me that they were to put down rabbit, vole, or mole holes. He told me that when the 'nasty creatures' try to come out they slip on the round balls, fall back down and perish in the burrow. Now I don't know if this farmer was pulling my leg but it sounded feasible to me at the time.
Has anybody heard about something like this, or did he have me over?

Or you can bury a piece of paper with the home address of one of your worst enemies....... Myron, the farmer probably used a similar method to get rid of his wife and figured that it would do the same for moles only on a smaller scale.

It's funny you should say that. I did once ask him where his wife was and assumed she was in Australia when he said "Down under".

Sadly there isn't one. There are humane traps, but you still have to find somewhere to release them. And if they are above ground for any length of time they die. If you put it where there is another mole then they fight to the death.
I have tried every suggested method of deterring them, from sonic vibration to windmills to jam jars on stick to mole repellent bulbs. Not one of them works.
In the end I use scissor traps. They kill the animal instantly.
Sorry.
