I grew a Morning Glory in a pot and it flowered really well.Can I leave it to over winter to come again next year,or do I have to re-sow next spring?

I grew two morning glories in a pot and they bith failed.Gradually dieing off and in the end I judt threw them out. Wish I had your expertise.

Morning Glory are half hardy annuals. They will often survive the first frost, especially if grown along the house or other buildings. They will not survive a hard frost or freeze.
