Why are my Stipa not growing, one I have had for 3 years. I have moved it once but nothing has happened!

Are yours in a lot of shade? I have one that has grown rather large beside my path and regularly attacks the postman in the morning with its fronds if I don't keep it very well trimmed back. It did not get any special attention, or feeding.
Mine gets the morning sun and is in loamy soil.

Previous question
Though from Portugal, Stipa gigantea is quite hardy so long as it's in well drained soil. I presume it was alive when moved? When was it moved and did you take a good rootball when lifted?
