My French beans have failed to germinate this year - inside a polytunnel planted mid April and outside, planted mid May. What am i doing wrong and what are your best tips for success.

Tips for growing any beans.
Sow the seed on it's side, this will help to avoid rotting.
Keep moist but NOT wet!
Keep them warm, beans are very easily 'frosted'
They don't like 'sudden' changes of temps. harden them off slowly.
As MG says, it's a bit late but sow more anyway. You might get lucky!

Thanks. I'll try a lot tomorrow planted on their sides.

Previous question
We've noticed sporadic germination on bean seeds this year... no idea why - ours are organic seed. We can only assume that even being patient we sowed them too soon after the cold winter. Bit late now but resow anyway.
